Even though each project is different, our process usually works like this:

  1. We like to meet with you at the building site if at all possible. This way we can evaluate the site to take into account the views, terrain of property, etc...
  2. After discussing the type of home design you are looking for, we can give you an estimate of what your plans will cost.
  3. If you want us to proceed with a preliminary plan, we ask for a down payment at this time (1/2 of your estimate).
  4. Preliminary plans will be drawn up which include: floor plans and proposed elevations of your new home design.
  5. You are now able to make some adjustments to the preliminary plan to make it fit your personal needs and tastes. 
  6. Once your plan is the way you like it and you want us to finish the design, we complete the working drawings. Working drawings include: floor plans with electrical layout, elevations of all four sides of your home, foundation plan, floor structural framing plan, ceiling and roof framing, a building cross section, all necessary framing details, and beam calculations.
  7. If engineering is needed for your design, it will be sent to that department at this time.
  8. We now print out your full color plans that can be taken to your local building department for your building permits. You will also receive digital PDF files of your plans that we will email to you.
  9. When you pick up your plans we ask for the final payment to be made.
  10. We guarantee our plans to be accepted by building department and will make any changes they deem necessary.
